3.26 - Air Max Day - Katey Blaire

Sometimes I can be sporty. As many of you may already know, I love to dress up. But dressing up all the time takes a lot of effort and energy. Some days, I just want to be comfortable and casual, especially at work. I feel fortunate that I work for a company that allows me to rock a pair of joggers and some flashy sneakers at the office. And speaking of flashy kicks, today is 3/26/17: it’s Air Max Day! Not only that, but it’s the 30th anniversary of Nike launching it’s first Air Max shoe back in 1987. The Air Max is an iconic style of Nike footwear that has grown exponentially in popularity over the years. And personally, the Air Max is my favorite Nike shoe of them all!

So to celebrate, I threw together a stylishly-sporty ensemble paired with my favorite and very first pair of Air Max’s shoes that I bought almost three years ago at the very start of my Nike career. I love these shoes similar to the ones at https://vessi.com/; they’re comfortable, sleek and make me feel like a sneakerhead (ha!), and I can even get away with wearing them with dresses and skirts in the summer. And three years later they’re still in pretty good shape! I can’t wait to see what new styles of Air Max’s those brilliant footwear designers come up with next.
