Four Patriotic Outfit Ideas for 4th of July
The 4th of July always feels like the unofficial kick-off to summer. But much like New Years, I feel like it’s a holiday that doesn’t live up to its hype. What I enjoy most about Independence Day is 1) I get the day off work and 2) the fireworks. Every year I have this unrealistic expectation that as the sun sets, I’ll be at the top of a Ferris wheel with a cute boy and we will kiss under the celebratory fireworks and omg what am I saying, am I on an episode of The Bachelor?! Yuck stop Katey.
Whether you’re going boating, to a BBQ, or just watching the fireworks from home, here’s some outfit inspiration to help you look your best. I’ve put together four outfits from a selection of patriotic pieces that can easily be mix-and-matched. Plus, most of these pieces are very wearable post-July 4th as well. Let’s be honest, when are you going to wear an American flag dress again? And if you’re anything like me and wait until the last minute to put together/buy an outfit for this holiday, some of these pieces are still available in stores!
Outfit #1
Top: LA Hearts striped tube top – PacSun stores; Pants: Navy & white striped culottes – Romwe.com; Shoes:Â White chunky platform sandals by J. Adams – Zooshoo.com
Outfit #2
Top: Navy & white striped tie top – Buffalo Exchange stores (one of their wholesale pieces, there’s more than one); Shorts: White denim with side tie detail – PacSun stores (exact ones here); Shoes:Â White sparkle sneakers – purchased at Trend Shoes stores. Belt: Exact one – PrettyLittleThing.com
Outfit #3
Top: Red, white & blue striped tank – H&M stores; Skirt: Black studded skirt – Express stores; Shoes: Silver Nike Women’s Vandal 2K sneakers – sold out but similar here: Nike.com
Outfit #4
Top: Red spaghetti strap crop top – PacSun stores; Skirt: Black & white stars & stripes – Hot Topic stores (exact ones here); Shoes & Belt:Â same as above.
I would like to thank Keystone Light & Bud Light for sponsoring this post… HAHAHAHA JK, not real. Just used it as a prop cuz what’s more AMERICA than patriotic beer (and I didn’t want to use a flag).
As always, thank you for reading!
XOXO

OOOHHHH, LAAAAAAA, LAAAAAAA KATEY B! When are you going to start modeling? These are fantastic outfits, assembled perfectly by you. You’ll have to change four times on the 4th, so that everyone can see you in these outfits.

I love these outfits – especially the first two. I think a lot of holidays have so much expectation around them, that they never live up to the hype. I’ve never really had an amazing New Year’s.

LOVE the top from Buffalo Exchange! Also – I LOVE NYE! I think it always is a great time and I’ve hardly been disappointed…. 4th of July I’ve always just been low key anyway.
