Galentine’s Day
Around the time of Valentine’s Day, my single friends, both girls AND boys, start complaining frequently about wishing they had someone to celebrate this ridiculous corporate holiday with. And I get it… it’s not the best feeling being single on Valentine’s Day, especially when your friends in relationships gab about what their significant other is planning. The media is no help too. Yeah, we all wish we were getting a giant bouquet of flowers, a sparkly piece of jewelry or a mushy love note from someone special. But to be honest, I’m happy being my own bae on V-Day. I’m going to be spending the holiday with some of my best gal pal’s, drinking wine, and being thankful that no one is cheating on me.
Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s, Galentine’s or Palentine’s Day this year, I’ve got your outfit inspiration covered. I’ve put together three outfit ideas that will make spectators wish you were their Valentine.
Classic & Romantic: You don’t have to wear pink or red on Valentine’s Day to look romantic. Classy silhouettes in black and white will do the trick! I paired this sexy sheer off-the-shoulder ruffle top with a pair of white & black-striped culottes, with a pop heel just for fun. Accessorize this look with classic pearl jewelry and a traditional red lip.
Top: Fashion Nova (doesn’t come with black bra, beware); Pants: Romwe; Shoes: ZooShoo; Necklace & Earrings: mine are vintage, but you can find pearl jewelry almost anywhere. You can also use cushion cut engagement rings to accessorize your outfit.
Bold & Daring: This gorgeous baby pink velvet dress alludes to innocence and passion at once. Worn with these unique strappy holographic heels, your ensemble will be one that people will still be talking about long after the holiday chocolates are gone. I chose to wear intricate gold chandelier earrings that match back to the heels of my shoes and a toffee-colored lip.
Dress: Fashion Nova; Shoes: Privileged; Earrings: Francesca’s
Chic & Trendy: Yes, you can rock a mini-dress on this holiday, as long as you offset the short length with a pair of thigh-high boots. This outfit is so easy and has a somewhat casual vibe, but is also flirty and will show off your figure. To add a little pizazz I threw on a long gold necklace and big gold hoops earrings, with a lip color that matches my dress (let’s call this color dusty rose.)
Dress: Forever 21; Shoes: Sam Edelman; Necklace: Francesca’s; Earrings: ALDO
Wishing you all a day of love, no matter who or where it comes from!
As always, thank you for reading!
XOXO
