Jumpman, Jumpin’, Jumpsuits

In the midst of compiling pictures for another blog post (Best Walls in PDX, stay tuned), I received a lot of questions about some of the outfits I wore while exploring the city. Therefore, it was only right to create a post highlighting two of these fantastic outfits that both happen to feature affordable, jaw-dropping jumpsuits.

Outfit 1: Black & White Striped Culotte Jumpsuit

I recently bought this Boohoo-brand jumpsuit for $44 from Asos. You can find the exact jumpsuit here (sold out on Asos.com, still in stock on Boohoo.com), or some other similar options here. While the black and white stripes are simple and classic, the design of this jumpsuit is quite unique with a chic sweetheart neckline, front tie detail (which you can switch up) and cropped culotte-cut pant legs. With a sophisticated silhouette that shows off just enough skin, this lightweight versatile jumpsuit is suitable for work-to-play, day-to-night and makes a perfect transition-to-summer outfit.

For a comfortable daytime run-around-the-city look, I chose to style the piece with flashy gold jewelry, white gladiator sandals and a classic straw fedora with a black ribbon. I could easily swap the sandals for a pair of heels to dress it up for a nighttime look, too. What’s even better is I could totally rock this on Halloween and be a modern Beetlejuice (probably won’t, but I could!)

Outfit 2: Lady-in-Red Wide Leg Jumpsuit

I found this bold candy-apple head-turner on super sale (originally $80, bought it for $15!) at Urban Outfitters a few months ago and had no idea it would quickly become one of my favorite pieces in my wardrobe. Pretty sure this exact one is sold out, but here is a similar option (suggestion: check your local UO, they usually have a killer sale section, better than online).

Not only is the color of this jumpsuit stunning, it’s also extremely figure-flattering with a fitted bodice, high empire waist and wide pant legs. And it is SO comfortable! I can (and did) wear this outfit all day, from brunch to errands to out dancing. This is another piece that can easily be dressed up or down too, depending on your choice of footwear and accessories.

“It’s Britney, bitch!” But for real, I feel like Britney Spears or Sporty Spice in this ensemble. In the outfit below, I coordinated the jumpsuit with a pair of Women’s Nike Vandal 2K sneakers, a silver choker necklace and a simple blue denim jacket. Incidentally very patriotic as well, maybe I should have saved this outfit for 4th of July. Oh well.

Which jumpsuit or outfit do you prefer? Do you have a favorite jumpsuit/playsuit/romper?! I want to see! Also, sometimes jumpsuits can be tricky to style – if you need styling tips, please let me know. I’d love to help!

As always, thank you for reading! XOXO
