#Pinknic in Central Park
Hello everyone!
I know it’s been A MONTH since my last post, and I do apologize for that. Long story short, I transferred my blog to a new host site and went through a whole page redesign, which took a bit to get up and running. On top of that, I was in New York for work travel for my day job. So life has been crazy this last month, but I’m back & I’m better (Bryson Tiller, anyone?) and excited to continue my blogging journey.
Speaking of New York, I think I belong there. I have been to NYC before, but this trip just made me feel like I need to be in the city while I’m still young. While this last trip was mostly work-related, I was able to carve out time for some personal events. One of them was a Central Park #Pinknic, a meet-up for Boss Babes, Content Creators and Bloggers, hosted by the lovely founding members of Exclusively Social. I can’t say enough how thrilled I was to be able to attend this function, meet so many like-minded, inspirational ladies and grow my network across the country!
However, I did a poor job of packing an outfit for the theme of the #Pinknic, which was pink, girly & floral. Thankfully my bestie (who lives in NYC) let me borrow this beautiful rose crochet cardigan of hers (I called it “vintage” Forever21, because it’s almost 10 years old!), which I paired over a simple black turtleneck crop top from Lulus, loose-fitting leopard shorts from Zara and gorgeous strappy heels by Report.
Do you think I fit the theme enough, working with what I had packed in my suitcase?!? You can find the exact shoes I’m wearing below, along with links to similar pieces of my outfit. Also, the gorgeous red handbag pictured below is from TJ MAXX! SO many people thought it was a designer bag! (But I unfortunately can’t find it anywhere online.)
A special thank you to all of the #Pinknic event sponsors, including Gilly’s Organics, Mr. Mochi and The Bagel Store, plus our amazing photographer, Miss O Photo! I’ll be back in NYC for Fashion Week in September, and I seriously cannot wait. Stay tuned for a detailed travel post on all thing New York as well!
As always, thank you for reading!
XOXO
