Romwe Review & The Power of Advertisements

How many times have you been browsing the web when an ad pops up on the side bar and, for some reason, you decide to click it? Well that happened to me several weeks ago. The ad that appeared featured the most adorable floral bralette for only $6.99, so I fell into temptation and went to the site ( That’s where I was drawn in even more. I’m a sucker for a fast-fashion deal. Yeah, it might mean that the products are cheap but that’s to be expected. Before I knew it, I had a shopping cart full of 25 items, with a grand total under $200. is one of those online retailers that is always having some kind of sale, plus you get an additional 60-80% off your first order depending on how much your total comes to. The most expensive item I purchased was $13.90 (marked down from $44). Insanely cheap, right?
About a week later I received a giant package with all my goodies from China. I opened the package with enthusiasm and tried on all of my new pieces. Romwe’s sizing is very strange, something you have to pay close attention to for each individual item on their site. Of course, when you’re online shopping, you expect some of the items not to fit regardless of where you’re purchasing. After going through all 25 items, I narrowed down what I was going to keep to 12. My reasons for returning the other items were sizing/fit wasn’t right, too poor of quality or the item didn’t look like the picture online.
Among the items I kept, I have several favorites which I review below in detail.
Rose Bralette:  $24.99 full price, $7.50 after all discounts.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this rose mesh bralette. The appliqué is thick plus it has adjustable straps and a clasp in the back. I ordered a medium and it fits nicely (for sizing reference, I am a 32D bra size). If you’re feeling daring and confident, you could get away with wearing this sexy bralette as a top. I styled it with a maroon body-con midi-skirt from ANGL and laser-cut lace-up heels – a perfect ensemble for a warm summer night out. For a slightly more modest look, you could layer a sheer top over the bralette (this sheer top pictured below was also part of my Romwe purchase, which I will feature in a future post).
White Floral Two-Piece Set: $31.99 full price, $9.60 after discounts (yes, for both!)
Army Green Front Strap Crop Top: $22.99 full price, $6.90 after discounts

I thought this white floral two-piece outfit was gorgeous when I saw it online. I hesitate purchasing two-piece sets, especially since most websites make you get the top and the bottoms in the same size (when I should be a small on top and a medium or large on the bottom). But for $9.60 I gave it a shot and ordered the set in a medium. Unfortunately, the matching back-tie crop top didn’t fit quite right and was rather unflattering, but the shorts, which are fully-lined with an elastic waistband, fit so perfectly around my curvy frame that I decided to keep the ensemble. To my delight the shorts also coordinated superbly with another item from my purchase, this trendy army green front-strap crop top. This top is a “one-size” fits-all so I didn’t have any size options but was hopeful that it would fit and it does well-enough. The only thing I don’t like about the fit of the top is the sleeves look like wings and jut out from my shoulders, but that’s me being super picky about the garment pattern. I completed this harmonious look with a pair of white gladiator sandals from Topshop.
For anyone who may consider making a purchase on, several things to take away from this post: 1) Pay close attention to sizing, as it is random and varies for each item. There is a size chart for every item in the upper right-hand corner, I used this to try and guesstimate my sizes. 2) Make sure to add every possible discount onto your final order total (you’d be a fool to ever pay for anything full price). 3) Returns aren’t the easiest; you have to have create a ticket on your online account and wait for someone to send you the Returns address, then send your unwanted items along with only your order number. You also have to pay for return shipping (boo). Keeping my fingers crossed I get refunded properly for all I’m returning.
This all being said, I am happy I came across Romwe. The site is fairly easy to navigate, products are fashionably trendy and obviously extremely affordable and new products are added almost daily. OH, and don’t forget you get free shipping with orders over $59. Think how many items you could get for $60! Happy Shopping!
