First I want to thank you for clicking the link to my blog. I really want to adopt this new hobby and give it the attention it deserves. I tried to keep up a blog several years ago in college, but more important life events took precedence. Also I’m always a little scared about social networking and using social media to promote myself, my ideas, my thoughts and my dreams. But you know what…. I figure if people don’t want to read what I’m writing, they won’t. But to those of you who do, I thank you deeply! I have a lot to say and share, and I hope you enjoy.
A little about me, for those of you who might not know me personally: I’m Katey, 24 years young and a Portland, OR native. I studied Apparel Design at Oregon State University & I currently work at Nike WHQ in Beaverton as a Print & Pattern Developer. I am extremely inspired by fashion, personal style, trends, colors and any kind of design. I’m sure fashion will be the focus in many of my posts, but travel, music, personal experiences and ideas will also come into play.
So here’s my first outfit post!
To welcome the fall season, a group of friends and I had a clothing swap last week, and boy was it a success! I was so excited about a few of my new pieces that I had to wear them immediately. For this outfit, I layered my new ochre-colored H&M sweater over a collared black button-up (brand unknown) with olive pants with black side panels from Walter Baker & strappy pointed-toe booties from Ippolitan (IPPOshop). Great outfit for fall with a soft autumn color palette.
Side note: Unfortunately I don’t have a skilled photographer following me around taking professional photos, so for now pixelated iPhone photos will have to do. Thanks in advance to my friends & random people I may ask to take photos of me.
Stay tuned… More to come soon!

My granddaughter would love those pants. 🙂
